COVID-19 is a disease of the respiratory tract, mainly spread through respiratory droplets, aerosols and direct contact with other people.
There are multiple symptoms of COVID-19. These can include:
• A high temperature or shivering
• A new, continuous cough (coughing a lot for more than one hour or having three or more episodes of coughing in 24 hours)
• A sore throat
• A loss of or change to your sense of smell or taste
The majority of people recover from their first symptoms within a few days or weeks, making a full recovery within 12 weeks. However, some people can become more seriously ill and their symptoms can last longer than this.
You can only use this service if any of the following criteria apply to you:
– You are aged 75 & over
– have a severely lowered immune system
The winter vaccination programme starts on the 1st of October 2025, with appointments available from the 1st of September 2025.

The below groups will be eligible for a private COVID-19 vaccination from 24th September 2025:
1. those aged 18 years and over
The price of the Private COVID-19 Vaccination Service is £85.
