Who can get free NHS Lateral Flow Tests?

COVID-19 rapid lateral flow tests are no longer free for most people.

You may still be able to get free COVID-19 rapid lateral flow tests from the NHS if you:

  1. work in healthcare settings or in a hospice
  2. have a health condition which means you’re eligible for COVID-19 treatment

Collecting free tests for someone else

Anyone collecting free tests on your behalf needs to give the pharmacy your details, including your:

1. name
2. address
3. date of birth
4. NHS number (this is a 10-digit number you can find on any letter the NHS sends you)
5. medical condition or conditions to confirm your eligibility
